​I woke up at 04.30lt and went to the airport at 5.00lt. Departure was at 6.20lt on a Lufthansa CityLine EMB-195, the flight was fully booked and was very smooth. Landing in Franfurt was on 25R and Marcus landed just 10 minutes prior from LEJ. We met us at the departure gate and were informed that our departure will be delayed by an hour.

Once again the flight was fully booked we departed from runway 25C and made a left turn towards eastern directions. The service of LH was very good and we got a full breakfast which i didn’t expect. We had the choice between scrumbled eggs or pancakes. I choose the eggs and they were very good! The flight was very smooth and after 2,5hrs we were on final approach for DME.
The entry into russia was very easy and after less than 30 minutes we had our luggage and went to the Express train to Paveletskaya station. From there further on another express train to VKO Airport.


 

In VKO we choose the Double Tree Hotel and this Hotel is really perfekt. It is not the cheapest but our room was facing the apron, the service was great and they have a really nice bar at the highest floor which can be used for example in the morning for some picture of the Apron.

​After checking-in we went out for some planespotting and decided to go on top of a parking garage. From there you need at least 300mm but you have a lot more time for pictures. On the other position on the approach path for runway 24 you only have several seconds. Later in the evening we saw on FR24 a Yak-40 which was heading to VKO so we decided to go to the spotting point at the approach path because a Yak-40 would be otherwise too far away.

After this first highlight we went back to the hotel for some rest.
