Daytrip to Spain
The main goal on this trip was to fly the Boeing B757-300 also known as „flying pencil“ of Condor. The easiest way was was to fly to Palma de Mallorca and then back home, but a few weeks after booking this flight I saw some great fares of Air Nostrum for their flight from PMI to VLC for just 29,- Euro and so I started to fly thier CRJ1000 too. After some research I booked the daytrip as follows:
DUS – PMI Condor B757-300
PMI – VLC Air Europa Express B737-800
VLC – PMI Air Nostrum CRJ1000
PMI – HAJ Eurowings A320-200
I arrived by train at Dusseldorf Airport at 2.30lt but I quickly realized that I have to wait for another 1,5 hours untill the skytrain, which connects the airport train station with the airport itself will start its operation. With me about 30-40 people waited there untill 4.00lt so I guess I wasn’t the only one who wasn’t aware of it.
One day earlier I got an email from Condor where they offered the service of their partner Seatboost.com. With seatboost, you can bid for an upgradte to businessclass. In my case ist starts for 39,- Euro. I few hours prior departure I gave them a try and I was the only one who was bidding for it and so I got an upgrade for business class for just 39,- Euro!
The bad thing was, that I only got an aisle seat and lost my window seat in economy class.
Boarding started at 5.15lt and the flight was packed.

For prior departure service you could choose between sparkling wine and orange juice. We went off block on time and departed at 06.05lt to Palma de Mallorca!
30 Minutes after take off they offered breakfast service which contained an omlet, cremecheese, hashbrowns and steamed bellpaprika. It was OK, but not my favorite dish early in the morning.

After arrival I had to go tot he Air Europa check-in desk, because I didn’t got a boarding pass online. Reason for it was, I had to pay a local tourist tax (aprox 5,- Euro) and after that I received my boarding pass and had to go through security once again. All in all it took about 45 minutes, but I had 2,5 hours between both flights, so it was easy.

Boarding was on time and once again this flight was packed with local people who maybe spent their weekend at Palma de Mallorca. On this short flight were no in flight service but form e it was ok.
In Valencia I had to spent 3 hours for my return flight to PMI and I used the time for planespotting.

Boarding was a bit late via bus, which I love. Flight was also fully booked but Air Nostrum offered a buy on beard service on this short 30 minutes flight.
After arrival in Palma de Mallorca I had to spent another 3,5 hours in which I did planespotting and went for dinner.

The last flight on this trip had a loadfactor of about 75% aprox. Between Nice and Zurich we had severe turbulences were a lot of passengers were screaming a bit so the captain gave 2 announces that …“everthing is fine and we are safe..“ etc.
After arrival in Hannover I was very tired and happy that all went very smooth.
